Bibliothèque de l'Etat de Bavière
1558
Fondée en 1558 par le duc de Bavière Albrecht V qui a acquis la bibliothèque personnelle du savant humaniste Albrecht Widmanstetter. Pendant la 1ère moitié du 19e siècle, la bibliothèque a organisé la vente aux enchères de nombreux "doubles" (d'où la mention "Duplum"), suite à la dissolution des monastères et couvents bavarois en 1802/1803.
