Le ms. est souvent attribué à Saint-Martin de Tours mais il a également pu être copié au Nord de la France, comme la présence des saints Vaast, Médard et Géry dans les litanies le suggère.

RAND merkt an, dass die Initiale B (fol. 82v) an den „Franco-Saxon Style“ erinnert. Eine Entstehung in Tours wird von Laura ALBIERO (BnF) angezweifelt. Für sie scheint eine Entstehung in Nordfrankreich aufgrund der Präsenz der Heiligen Vaast, Médard und Géry wahrscheinlicher.
